An overnight-er in the only remaining wilderness in England. Expect long winding roads, wild horses and hearty pub lunches! This area has some of the best scenery in the UK and you will be amazed at how much you can see in two days!

  • We will start our ride at Plymouth train station and follow the sustrans cycle route out of town. Then join the famous Drakes Trail which takes you through Plymbridge Woods and out over the Cann Viaduct.

More views and viaducts follow, with the beautiful villages of Bickleigh and Shaugh Prior visible on the hillsides and your first glimpses of Dartmoor’s open moorland.

But first we will stop at the Dartmoor Bakery in Yelverton to enjoy some of their deliciously baked goods!

Once refuelled, the adventure really begins as we start to venture across the spectacular countryside that is Dartmoor National Park.

Wild horses, stunning roads and cosy country pubs pass us by as we head towards the beautiful village of Holne.

  • After a refreshing dip in the Dart, we head back out on the bike on route to Haytor! One of the many beautiful rock formations dotted across the moor.

From here, the views of the Devonshire coastline are some to behold and we will take our time to see it in all its glory!

Then its back on the bikes for some more stunning road cycling along the quiet b roads which carve through the moor. And we stop for lunch at the famous cycling cafe - cafe 3 sixty. A must see for any cyclist visiting the area.

Finally, we follow the gentle sustrans route into Newton Abbot where our ride finishes.
